- Remark: MSF Sugar Mulgrave Mill Walkers GH500 'Gordonvale' and Brake Wagon 'BV19' slow to a halt in the sidings of the Redlynch Depot having arrived after having parked up 35 empty 10 tonne cane bins nearby brought northwards on the journey to Redlynch from Mulgrave Mill. Soon afterwards; the crew of 'Gordonvale' will be taking command of Clyde Engineering HG-3R '13' 'Hambledon' from a nearby shed for placement of the cane bins in the northern suburbs of the Cairns region. Brake wagons such as 'BV19' are always brought along for the journey between Mulgrave Mill and Redlynch and placed on the rear of the train consist due to the steep hills and terrain traversed; it is mainly useful on the journey back south to the mill often with a consist of around 36 loaded 10 tonne cane bins. Mulgrave Mill's brake wagons are often controlled remotely from the leading locomotive and have other automatic safety features. Additionally; 'Gordonvale' was a conversion from the Queensland Rail DH Class of 3ft 6in (1,067mm) gauge built by Walkers Limited in the 1960s. In the 1990s quite a few were sold off for sugar mills after their Queensland Rail service life was over and were rebuilt by the Bundaberg Foundry for use on 2ft (610mm) gauge. Upon the major conversion to 2ft (610mm gauge) quite a few received the GH500 classification such as the two being used by Mulgrave Mill. Gauge: 2ft (610mm)
