• Remark: Aurizon 2300 Classes '2323D' and '2315D' exit the area of Jondaryan on eastbound freight service 9821 with 42 loaded coal wagons headed for Fisherman Islands in Brisbane, Queensland's capital on a clear Summers day. Interestingly; '2315D' still wears QR National labeling despite Aurizon forming from QR National over a decade ago now. The Aurizon 2300 Classes are also known originally as the Queensland Rail 2300 Class which are also classified as an EMD GTL22CU. There were 60 rebuilt from older types of Queensland Rail locomotives by Clyde Engineering at the Redbank Workshops from 1997-2002 and many now are in Aurizon service. Gauge: 3ft 6in [1,067mm]
