- Remark: The Class V43 locos of the Szeged depot have traditionally been known for their fresh appearance and reliability, but none of them had quite the reputation like V43,1229 did. Colloquially regarded as ’Szent Tehén’ or ’Sacred Cow’ for her distinctive look, she became a symbol for the southern city of Szeged among railfans, and even though her charm has faded in recent years, she is still considered to be one of the ’special ones’. Fingers crossed a future overhaul brings back her old glory and performance.
